Chamillionaire is in Brazil and we managed to catch up with him in Belo Horizonte where he was the main performer at Four Loko Black Edition Party held on May 10th. He rapped the house and the crowd went wild.

Chammillionaire talked to us about his visit to Brazil, the video clip “This is my world” and his upcoming album and even gave a hint for rappers starting their career.

The show also had one of Brazil´s well known DJs- AlbertiniZ who brought on Brazilian rap flavor to the show.

Lupe Fiasco Denies Twitter Acount Being Taken Over

Lupe Fiasco has been known to speak his mind about the government, politics, and just life in general, especially through his twitter account. This speculation occurred when his management team began to tweet from his account and the account followed a series of tweets supporting the belief of Marxism. Rumors began to spread when this message (and I quote), “Gotta love his lively way with twitter but sadly he’s gonna be taking a break to focus on other things.” However, the MC from Chicago quickly took to twitter to clarify the message in which he is taking time off from social media in order to focus on his music and his next album. Hopefully this is a foreshadowing to the anticipation of his next album, Tesou & Youth which many are expecting him to release sometime in 2013. Stay tuned.

June Release Date A Good Possibility For Kanye’s Next Album

Many G.O.O.D. music fans have been wondering when the next album from Mr. West will be released. According to Kanye’s twitter account he tweeted that June 19th is the drop date for his next album and that a representative did confirm it, yet the post was quickly deleted. Also HMV Japan, who was also responsible for the release of the Cruel Summer album track-list has also confirmed that Kanye West is indeed dropping the album on the alleged date in June. Yeezy is scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live this Saturday night May 18th, so if he performs a track or two off the new album maybe he will enlighten us to when the album will officially be released since he is the only one who knows what the deal is. Stay tuned with us on Kanye’s new album. I mean after all he is one of the most influential producers and artists in hip-hop so rightfully so all eyes in the hip-hop world shall be on Mr. West again.

Hit Producer T-minus Retired?

For people who dont know who T Minus is, he is responsible for some of the biggest records over the past few years. Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools”, Drakes “The Motto”, “HYFR”, Lil Wayne “She Will”, DJ Khaled “Im On One”, T.I. “GO Get It”, A$AP Rocky’s “PMW” and many many more.

As of recent, T Minus has deleted ALL social media relating to him, including Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram. People in the business have also said he is done. Personally, I dont see how he could retire at the hight of his career. I hope he continues to produce because he continues to make bangers

In the 12th century St. James the apostle was believed to lead the Catholic militia to win a battle over the Moors. St. James is the patron saint of Spain and on his saints day, when people celebrated the Victory of St. James over the Moors, the vejigante represented the Moors with whom St. James fought. By the 17th century it was typical to see processionals in Spain in which vejigantes were demons meant to terrify people into going back to church. Hence, there are references of vejigantes in Cervantes’ “Don Quixote” written in 1605. Back then, the vejigante symbolized the Devil in the battle between good and evil. This processional in Puerto Rico has taken on a new face because of the African and Taino influence. The Tainos were believed to be excellent mask makers. Vejigante masks are usually meant as “fright” masks

St. James saint day is celebrated and in Puerto Rico with the use of the vejigantes. In today’s festivals some believe that the vejigante is a figure of resistance to colonialism and imperialism. The festivals have four main characters: el Caballero (the knight), los vejigantes, los viejos (the elders), and las locas (the crazy women). The festivals in Loiza and Ponce have their own characteristics.

In Loíza, the vejigante masks are made from coconut, whose cortex has been carved out to allow a human face. The eyes and mouth are carved out of the coconut with an addition of bamboo teeth. The costume is made of “a jumper” that has a lot of extra fabric at the arms to simulate wings.[1]
[edit]Ponce
In Ponce the vejigante masks are made from papier-mâché and usually contain many horns. The jump suit is very similar to the jumpers used in Loiza.
