Gangsta Rap Has It’s Consequences Amongst This Generation….

As you know the recent drive by shootings of Rick Ross in Miami and French Montana’s tour bus in Philly should come as no surprise. They talk about moving work, staying strapped, and disobeying the law all while living a lavish lifestle, people who are jelalous are gonna try to test them to see if their really about that street life.

It’s not that I don’t like Rick Ross and French Montana’s music it’s just that gangsta rap has it’s consequences. Some people in the streets don’t know the difference between what’s entertainment and what’s not. They only see these dudes talking about all this street shit and say well yeah that’s what I’m doing, but they’re just rapping about it. That makes them want to test them, and it also gets some people trying to make a name for themselves to act hard or do whey they hear in their songs.

I know Rozay and French make a living off this music but it doesn’t come without it’s problems. These shootings lead to canceled shows, more security and hesitant promoters who were thinking about booking them that end up not. Also in some places they are pretty much blacklisted by the police and local government. So even if they do try to go to the club or set up a show, it will get shut down right away.

There needs to be more of an education amongst the public of what’s entertainment and what’s real. If you do what you hear in every hip-hop song or any song whatsoever not just hip-hop, your ass is definitely gonna be dead or in jail. Just like how kids should know Call Of Duty ain’t real life, they should know not all music is real life.

The miseducation and ignorance of the public and the lack to teach people the difference between what’s acceptable and not leads to some people who make dumb ass decisions. Sane people don’t do everything they see and hear on TV but this generation might be at a loss. We need some of the true ambassadors of hip-hop to step up and do something about it.

How many kids are there on Instagram right now posing with guns?, their life savings?, drugs of all kinds?…Not to mention how many STD’s are being passed around like Molly due to people not being informed? This is not a race issue either, it’s a fucking generational issue and parents, teachers, and the lack of good role models are to blame. I know this sounds like a rant but it’s more of a warning. Some people seriously need to step up or we all might be headed for a dark future.

This is why I create music that has a purpose and speaks about more than bullshit gangster self destructive lifestyles. It just results as you said, in a detriment to the youth and the minds of the people.
Artists on the come up should step up like I am trying to and create real diverse subject matter.

Our established artists should strive to grow in their craft and ability. If you have found success and have made so much money it should not scare you, to do more and say more. It is only right for you to reap what you sow.
